Abandon: Buy Their Music
Posted by Shay
I’ve been watching the band Abandon for about a year and I’ve been pretty impressed with their stuff. Not only are they good song writers, but they’ve got lyrics that you really don’t hear too often from a young Christian band. I guess I’m always a little weary of young Christian bands being great musically, but lacking lyrically, yet Abandon seems to do both very well. I strongly suggest listening to the song “All Because of You” (click to play) which really reveals what this band is really about.
They’re first full-length album titled “Searchlights” drops today and I recommend you take a listen and support these guys. I own their two previous EPs and I often find myself coming back to them. You can buy their new album from Amazon.com by clicking here.
Meet: Them Crooked Vultures
Posted by Jared
Anybody wanna rock? Them Crooked Vultures do! You might recognize the players - Josh Homme (Queens of the Stone Age) is on vocal and axe duty, John Paul Jones (Led Zeppelin) is tickling the electric ivory, and behind the drums lies none other than Dave Grohl (Foo Fighters)! It looks like we can expect an album sometime later this year. But be careful, that record is gonna way about 10lbs ‘cuz the music is so heavy. Seriously, this would be a killer show to see live. Until then, check out a preview below of whats to come, or check out more stuff at themcrookedvultures.com.
Find Them Crooked Vultures on Facebook, Twitter, and MySpace.
If you like anything you hear, please support the artist by buying their albums and going to their live shows.
