Lost and Found 2: Real RnB and Soul
5 Apr

Keb Darge in collaboration Paul Weller present the next installment of the Lost and Found series which sets out to rediscover the neglected and forgotten soul and funk b-side tracks from the ’60s and ’70s.
Heavily involved in the UK Northern Soul movement and tireless in his search for hard to find soul and funk albums, Darge imported and amassed an extensive record collection from the US during a time when UK producers wanted nothing to do with American soul. By giving away mixtapes of his rare collection to promote his DJ gigs at the beginning of the Northern Soul movement, Darge set out to enlighten the UK to the pure and honest rhythms of American soul.
Having been through the rise and fall of soul and now the resurgence of “soul-inspired” and “neo-soul” musicians Keb Darge has compiled some refreshing gems of the genre to bring a new generation of soul fans back to their roots.
