House of Heroes - Cold Hard Want

image

House of Heroes are releasing their next album Cold Hard Want on July 10th and it’s fantastic. These guys have been bringing great music for a while now but this is arguably their most ambitious album to date. Add July 10th to your calendar and get this album–it won’t disappoint.

Phil Wickham - Singalong 2 → philwickham.com

Almost four years ago Phil Wickham blessed the Christian community with a free worship album called Singalong. Basically, it was a live recording of a worship sessions with just Phil and his acoustic. For me, that album became an anthem and one that I returned to often to just, well, sing along. This week he’s done it again. Singalong 2 is another great album with just an acoustic and voices, along with some great original songs and hymns. The album is 100% free and he has partnered with Compassion to help children in need in countries around the world. I definitely recommend getting this free album. You will be blessed as I have been.

Neil Young Journeys

In May of 2011, Neil Young drove a 1956 Crown Victoria from his idyllic hometown of Omemee, Ontario to downtown Toronto’s iconic Massey Hall where he intimately performed the last two nights of his solo world tour. Along the drive, Young recounted insightful and introspective stories from his youth to filmmaker Jonathan Demme. Demme, a long-time fan and collaborator, captured these tales of Young’s childhood and masterfully weaved them together with his mesmerizing music including songs from the 2010 album Le Noise and powerful renditions of classics including “Ohio”, Hey Hey, My My”, “I Believe in You” and previously unreleased songs “Leia” and “You Never Call.” Through the tunes and the tales, Demme portrays a personal, retrospective look into the heart and soul of the artist.

Foo Fighters “Million Dollar Demos” Surface From First Failed Attempt At “One By One” Album

One by One became one of the Foo Fighters most beloved albums, but the first go round of songs vanished and were mysteriously dubbed the Million Dollar Demos. Two of the songs from the first recording session, “Have It All” and “Comeback,” have resurfaced showing the great disparity between the two tracks from start to album-pressed finish.
